Monday: Expected Suck Factor = 11
f this weekend is anything to go by, today is going to suck like a Hoover on crack. I’ve been sick with sinus-y crap all week, dragging ass and feeling rotten, and all weekend long, it’s been groups, groups, and more groups. I expect today to be more of the same. It’s a holiday weekend, people. It’s nice. Go out and grill something, and leave us poor restaurant workers alone, dammit!
Meanwhile, between scampering around to inane herds of customers yesterday, I did catch some news on CNN. Most amusing was the blow-by-blow accounting of all that being done to prepare for Hurricane Gustav, about to hit Louisiana and surrounding states. Let me sum up the news for you: “OMG, WE ARE SO READY THIS TIME, SWEAR TO GOD!!!”
Great. Thanks for trying. We had at least this much warning for Katrina, assholes. Thanks for learning a lesson you shouldn’t have needed to learn in the first place, you miserable fucks. And quit patting yourselves on the back for ordering an evacuation and watching the levees. That’s what you should be doing, should have done for Katrina. That’s like congratulating me for waiting a table at work. That’s what I’m supposed to do. You don’t pat people on the back for doing what they should be doing. Dicks.
Sorry. I’m a bit crabby. Sinus cold and all.

Hope you are feeling better. This weather always gets my sinus’ going too. I feel stuffed up all the time right now. Anastasia & Brandon are both sick right now. They each got a trip to the med center and have prescriptions to take. Brandon got the worst of it…poor little guy. I’ve been in the pool quite a bit lately…WOW…it’s been hot!
