A Toast! (30)

     eith Olbermann gets this raise of the glass for his most recent Special Comment lambasting Bush for, among other things, giving up golfing to show solidarity for the losses of the families of soldiers who’ve died in the war.
     Giving up golf. No. Really. I’m not making it up. I can’t. Even I, who am currently writing an entire novel full of crazy made-up shit, could not have made that up. It would be beyond even my capable imagination.
     Golf.
     Meanwhile, I’ve been hearing this on the news lately, and it’s driving me fucking nuts. People on the news keep referring to the “Republican brand” or the “Republican trademark” as though the political party is a fucking jug of laundry soap I’d buy at Wal-Mart. “Rehabilitating the brand name.” No, seriously.
     Fuck you fucking fucks, okay? I will not have a political party marketed at me like a goddamn Big Mac. I absolutely refuse to vote for that shit. I am not that stupid. I don’t want to vote for a goddamn brand name, I want to vote for someone who actually cares about my fucking country, and wants to see it and her people treated right. I want to vote for someone who’s going to do the fucking job.
     I will not vote for a fucking brand name.
     Jesus. Politics drives me batshit. And by the way, the Special Comment is a two-part YouTube, so watch the first one up there on the right, then this one here.

    I thought Bush quitiing golf was a little stupid, then I saw that he was back playing golf again, it was in Newsweek.
