A Toast! (28)
et me first begin by toasting StumbleUpon, which is pure liquid crack. If I never get my novel written, it’ll be solely due to the joy of Stumbling. No, seriously. Go directly to the site, install the little toolbar, and proceed directly to the cracking. I’ve lost whole swaths of time due to this damn thing.
If you can manage to take a quick break from Stumbling, and it’s not as easy as it sounds, then stop by YouTube and check out Mrs. Hughes. She’s a fucking riot!
While I’m at it, a toast to several other great sites I’ve Stumbled Upon recently, like 365Tomorrows, which features a new short story every day, and by short, I mean, like, 600 words. It’s fun! Or how about 3DaysLater, which is promoting the (hopefully soon-to-be-made) movie, Jesus Christ, Zombie Lord. With a name like that, how can you not want to see it? Of course, there’s these two pictures, as well, which made me giggle for several minutes. If you’re out of coffee, you can always wake up to this page, appropriately titled “The 5 Most Horrifying Bugs in the World”. Holy shit, three-inch Japanese Hornet! I may never sleep again!
For pure, science-y goodness, I’d like to raise a toast to taking the carcinogens out of tobacco. Scientists have apparently discovered a gene which removes most of the carcinogens from smoking tobacco. Let’s get to work on this! Chop chop!
And finally, a toast to these fine folks, Match It For Pratchett. I’m sure by now we’ve all heard the sad news that the brilliant author, Terry Pratchett was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. He recently donated 500,000 pounds (don’t know how to make the little pound-sign thingy) to Alzheimer’s research, and the folks at Match It For Pratchett are trying to match his donation. Go there. Buy things. Help them match the donation.

No problem! You’ve got a gang of people here in mid-Michigan who are dying to see your movie! Good luck with it!
