Movies
am officially on pins and needles for both Iron Man and Hellboy II: the Golden Army. I must admit, I’m mostly fan-girling over Hellboy, though. I mean, the Iron Man trailer rocks and all, and I love me some Robert Downey Jr, but, you know. Hellboy. Ron Perlman. Ron Perlman as a huge, crabby, red demon, whupping (apparently, Unseelie) ass. What’s not to glee over that? I mean, frankly, if you slap Ron Perlman in a bunch of make-up in damn near anything, I’m there. And, they got the original cast back! Doug Jones, Ron Perlman, Selma Blair . . . *squees!* I can’t wait! I can’t believe I have to wait! I want the movie now! Not in frickin’ July . . . Dammit. I have no patience for this crap.
I loved the first Hellboy — full of action and great lines, like the scene where Hellboy is talking to Liz, on whom he has a big crush: “I wish I could do something about this. [referring to his looks] But I can’t. But I can promise you two things. One: I’ll always look this good. Two: I’ll never give up on you… ever.” I’m a sucker for a “Beauty and the Beast” story — always have been. Hey, Ron Perlman was in that, too! Ha!
So far, it’s shaping up to be a good summer for movies. I’m currently behind on my movie-watching — I missed Stephen King’s The Mist, which got a glowing review from Dr. Celestine, and I’m desperate to see The Golden Compass on the big screen, which I heard is about 50/50 on the reviews. Apparently it’s getting a lot of “Meh” reactions. I just hope it doesn’t suck too much, and if nothing else, it’ll be good eye candy.

I liked Hellboy too. I want to see Legend with Will Smith and of course we have to see Alien vs. Predator..Requiem. Dad says we gotta see that one!! So, if you come out to the hall on Christmas Eve it is just food and visiting. The kids are opening gifts and those who traded names in Tammy’s family. Tammy, Larry, and Logan are planning on coming to our house Christmas night. Michael is leaving to go to his mom’s Christmas morning so he won’t be there so I am taking his stuff to him then. So, if we don’t see you there we’ll see you after you pick up Lil Art. Oh, and tell Art I have his Christmas tree cake!! Love ya…….
