ended up leaving work a couple of hours early on Tuesday — the relief cashier was waiting tables for me that night, so there was someone to hand to keys off to. I have the worst sinus cold right now — it was making my stomach sour, and I felt like I had nails in my eyes. I’m a little better today.
The upside to losing the hours was that I got catch up on my Dexter viewing. It is excellent, thus far. Michael Hall does such a great job as Dexter — I hope he’s winning some awards or something for his work.
The downside to catching up on my Dexter viewing was that, after watching it for three hours on Tuesday night, and another four hours Wednesday afternoon (I was way behind), I didn’t get any writing done, and I certainly didn’t feel like trotting off to the movie theater to sit for another two hours, so I didn’t go see The Mist, like I had planned. I ended up taking a sinus pill, for the nails-in-the-eyes headache I had, and was viciously attacked from behind by a savage nap. The nap hit me over the back of the head and dragged me off to bed for a couple of hours. It was terrible.
Of course, I was wide awake after the nap, so I went out to coffee with my friends, until waaaaaaaaay too late, and stayed up at home for another hour after that, and now here it is, 2:30pm on Thursday afternoon, and I’ve only been up for about an hour.
Sad, sad, sad.
I did manage to get Grimmy to the vet’s office yesterday morning, for his allergies, which have been driving him insane. The doctor gave him the heavy-duty steroid stuff for his allergies, and he’s already doing much better.

Sorry about your sinus stuff….I just heard about a new remedy on the radio this morning. Use a cool mist vaporizer in your bedroom while you sleep (with the doors closed). Mix 1 part peroxide with 3 parts water…use about 3 nights (Or whenever you are sleeping)and you should clear right up. It must be a cool mist one tho. I think I’m going to get one and give it a try. I am coming down Saturday after work to try and finish up my shopping so I’ll try to stop in at your work and visit a bit. See you soon. Love ya lots, MOM

you mom is right , there is also an over the counter product to put in the vaporizer, i think the vicks company makes it–works marvelously best if door is closed but ok if not, as long as it is pointed right at you

I like the mints, but they only work for me while I’m eating them. Soon as they’re gone, I’m right back to stuffed up.
