Good-Byes and Hellos
I’ve only got a few minutes before I have to get ready for work, so this will have to be quick.
A regular customer, and owner of a well-reputed local auto salvage yard (the fellow who sold me the Olds) just came by and took the JellyBean away to her final resting place. So, good-bye JellyBean. You were a good car for a long time.
My friend, Squatch, dropped me an email to let me know that he had to put his beloved Golden Retriever, Jose, to sleep, yesterday morning. Jose was a good old dog, fourteen or sixteen years old. He’s not been doing well the last year or so, and it had finally got to the point where Jose was suffering a lot and couldn’t get around anymore. Poor old Jose, and poor Squatch. That dog was his best friend. It’s so damn sad when we have to let our furry friends go.
Apparently, it’s Annual De-Lurking time. This is something I’d been thinking about doing for awhile, so it’s handy that Stupid Evil Bastard is giving me a good excuse. When I blogged at LiveJournal, I always knew that folks were reading. I think I can speak for most bloggers, especially little bloggers like me, and say that we like to know we aren’t talking to ourselves. Heh. So, if you pop in from time to time, or have me added to your feed-reader, and haven’t ever spoken up, please drop a comment and say howdy.

Howdy.
I found your blog while looking up the comic Mallard Fillmore - I wanted to see who else thought it was stupid.
And I liked the rest of what I saw here.
Er… Hi. Got my own blog, but the only people who comment are family, real life friends, and people from the message board I always waste time at. And I’m not nearly as good as you - though I have cute dog pictures, so I should come out ahead.
