As if the world couldn’t get any shittier, check this junk out: Via Orac Knows, I heard about arsonists targeting the building for the Holocaust History Project. (Press Release, Crappy News Article With No Actual Information.) The fire came in addition to a DDoS (dedicated denial of service) attack against the HHP’s website. Clearly, somebody (*coughholocaustdenierscough*) wants the HHP to shut up and go away. Since steps have been taken to silence THHP, Orac asks that as many people as possible link to THHP’s website, to help spread the word far and wide. Kind of a big old middle finger to those trying to put THHP out of business. I can appreciate that. So, neener neener, perpetrators! I link, therefore I am! Ha!
Also, here’s a fund worth giving money to: ALA Hurricane Katrina Library Relief Fund. ALA has established the Hurricane Katrina Library Relief Fund to help raise funds to help rebuild libraries in Gulf Region. All funds will go to supporting the library relief efforts of the state associations. Contributions are tax deductible.
