Update On My Boring-Assed Life

Haven’t posted here in awhile — part of the reason I stopped keeping a blog in the first place. I never have anything interesting to say.

Be that as it may . . .

Let’s see. To recap the last couple of months, there has been dieting and exercise. (I’m going to GenCon next month, and don’t want to embarrass myself in a swim suit.) I started out by Slimfasting, but that failed to impress me, and also, I wasn’t getting enough calories to exercise that way. So, I’m Slimfasting, plus eating right. Heh. I got an exercise machine from my mom, and I’ve been trying to work out every day, with medium success.

Also, I was sick, some kind of sinus/throat infection, joy. The doctor put me on antibiotics, which as many women know, are the devil, because they cause yeast infections. More joy. A note to you “home remedy” people: Acidophilus did not work.

Got over being sick, and got on with bitching about a lack of raises at work. I climbed up my general manager’s ass and stayed there for three weeks, until raises came through. I don’t know if my incessant harassment had anything to do with getting raises for everyone, but I’d like to think it did.

We changed our gaming night to Thursdays, so my husband could rejoin the game, and he was thrilled about that. He hadn’t been able to game with us for almost a year, and he was getting pretty depressed about it.

Meanwhile, I’ve been hanging out over at Mugglenet, rabidly awaiting the release of the sixth Harry Potter book, and hoping for intelligent discussion while I wait. I was disappointed — difficult to dredge up intelligent discussion with 12-year-old fangirlies. Alas.

Sadly, that pretty well sums up the last two months. Good lord, I’m boring. I’m considering heading back to LiveJournal, to start a fiction journal, because they have the “friends only” entry protection option, and Blogger doesn’t. I feel like I should do something creative, because I haven’t in ages and ages. We’ll see.
